President-Elect Randy kiser

Randy Kiser currently serves as Fine Arts Director and HS Band Director for Spring Hill ISD. He has been a band director for 19 years, 16 of which have been at Spring Hill. Originally from Kansas, Mr. Kiser is a product of Texas public schools, graduating from Whitehouse High School in 1992. He attended Tyler Jr. College and was a member of the Apache Band for 2 years. He continued his education at Stephen F. Austin State University where he studied euphonium with Dr. J. Mark Thompson and earned a bachelor's degree in music in 1998. He completed his student teaching in Jacksonville ISD under Mike Bullock and moved to Longview to begin teaching in Longview ISD at Forest Park Middle School.
In 2001, he became the Jr. High Band Director in Spring Hill ISD earning 5 sweepstakes awards in 6 years. The 2004 Jr. High Band won the ATSSB OPS series with "West Highland's Sojourn" by Robert Sheldon. In 2007 he became the high school director at Spring Hill. During that time, that band program has earned numerous sweepstakes awards, has been consistent area marching contest finalists, and has earned their way to UIL State Marching Contest in 2012, 2014 and 2016, breaking through to the finals and placing 5th overall. The band has also taken 1st place in conference 4A at NAMMB in 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2016. The Spring Hill Band places numerous students in the All State Band and TSSEC contest, and is very competitive with the ATSSB OPS series. He is a member of TMEA, TBA, ATSSB, and NAMMB.
Randy and his wife Hillary live in Longview and have 2 children, Rex 6 and Olivia 2. He enjoys competitive sporting clay shooting, and running.
