Mrs. Kristy Jones was born and raised in Cleveland Texas. In high school she was a member of the Royal Braves Band under the direction of Jim Jones and Jonathan Kelly. After high school Kristy attended Stephen F. Austin State University later returning home to be the assistant band director of the Cleveland Band Program.
As the assistant director Kristy grew as a musician and teacher under the guidance of head director and mentor Jonathan Kelly, after his retirement Kristy was named Director of Bands of the Cleveland Band Program.
Under Kristy's direction the long line of first divisions at marching competitions and sweepstakes awards have continued. In 2016, Kristy earned her Masters in Music Education from Lamar University.
